Weirdest Soccer Game Ever?

This is the weirdest soccer/football clip I may have ever seen. In 1994 due to a bizzare rule about the results of sudden death after a tie, Barbados intentionally scored on them self in the last few minutes and then defended BOTH goals to prevent the tie from breaking either way. Wikipedia will explain it better; I'm lazy.

Here's a (satirical) interview with a BP exec who takes the time to explain where they're coming from. You might think these two look similar to the two who explained away an oil tanker accident in Australia where the front fell off, but that's crazy... crazy funny! The accent certainly helps.

The Adventure Factory

I discovered this nifty platforming game level editor that allows you to make little adventures to torture amuse your friends with. I got so into it I ended up making 5 levels which I'll link past the break so that you can all berate my terrible level design skills. Note that I had to beat these things to upload them; So yes, they're all possible.

You control your character with the arrow keys (up to jump) and use space to attack. Each of the characters has a few special skills you'll discover along the way.

E3 Star Wars the Old Republic Trailer

Today heralds the start of E3, and what better way to kick off the event then with this awesome Star Wars trailer that Bioware showcased. It doesn't really tell us any more about the game or how it will play, but I'll be damed if this isn't some sexy action. I love how the designers envision the fight between the Republic and the Sith.

Automated Lego Builder Made of Legos

If you've ever wondered how the Germans got their reputation as amazing engineers, its probably because they invented the rocket, fission, electron microscopes and decaffeination. Or if none of those sold you, check out this factory built entirely out of Legos that builds Lego airplanes. You can even pick the colors you want! Also check out this Lego auto factory and printer!

All they need now is a Lego factory that builds Lego factories, and our rule as the dominant species is over.

You might think that 6am is a bit early to be hitting the sauce, but you're also probably someone who's never jumped a tollbooth to save yourself a few bucks. Or walked away from the smoking ruin of your Ford with only a broken wrist, and then have your car explode. I have to admit this is probably the coolest DUI ever, but still... don't do it.

In this kind of base jumping its not getting down where you die, its the part when you fail to get back up. Well, unless you're a badass free diver like Guillaume Nery who holds the world record for deepest free dive (just holding his breath) at 112m. Then you just decide rock climbing is the best way back, right?

Two Years of Daily Photos

The string of photo updates isn't really original at this point, but this guy went over the top. Not only did he not take a single day of vacation in two years so he could get a photo EVERY day, he also intentionally altered his style and positions each day so that the animation is actually fun to watch. Oh, and he timed it brilliantly to Buckethead which is an epic win.
