And Then There Was Salsa...

Frito-Lays really went the extra mile with this advertisement. Hell, I didn't even notice it'd taken over my whole screen until my stunned brain recovered a short while after it was done. And to top it all off, now I really want salsa... >_<

Oh, and I'd embed it here but you need to see it at Vimeo for the full experience.

6 Most Statistically Full of Shit Professions

Have you ever considered going into sports writing, stock market trading or perhaps weather broadcaster? You probably already can. Each morning just flip some coins, and you're good to go! Hell, you might even do better than your leading competitors.

Shadow Artist Kumi Yamashita

This artist Yamashita has an amazing set of skills that I have no idea how you'd develop. And of course everyone knows those are the people the internet was made for. The whole "military communication network" was just a cover story. Anyway, I digress. She works mostly with shadows, but her pin/thread work and boot/ink stuff is equally amazing. Trust me, this woman's talents are preposterously awesome.

The video at the bottom helps explain what she does (and its a funny Japanese show too, yay!)

Stop Animation Drum and Bass

Check out this equal parts trippy and impressive stop animation music video. Its just moving colors in the form of blocks, but its mesmerizing. I'm still not clear how he did it considering some of the shots seem to contradict gravity. Perhaps he's only working on one side and the video is mirrored, or some other trickery. Thoughts?

Snowboard Basketball

Have you ever thought to yourself as you look at a snowboarding halfpipe, "Man, with that much air I could totally dunk a snowball into a basketball hoop!" No, of course you haven't. But these guys did, and now you wish you were as creative as them.

Awesome Rabbit Tank

Holy crap check out that awesome tank. Woah, wait... is it freaking crewed by rabbits?! Rabbits in trench coats? How do you counter a rabbit army equipped with walking tanks and flamethrowers?!

A wolf spy, hopefully. Well, at least the wolves have got to hope that guy can pull off some James Bond shit because that machine is intimidating... even with its cute little bunny ears on top.

Last Call: An Interactive Movie

Here's an interesting idea from German cinema. This movie Last Call allows you to volunteer your cellphone number at the start of the film. If you opt to participate you might get a call partway through where the protagonist desperately pleas for your help in major decisions. Depending what you say, the movie reacts accordingly.

Its a pretty cool idea, though I had to wonder what would happen if you didn't pick anything (I'd guess they have a default option?). Also, do we really want films that encourage you to keep your cellphone on?

The Academy Award Trailer

The trailer for every Academy Award winning movie ever. Its about a man, who discovers some things. Totally moves me man...
